Have you checked your Twitter profile recently? Twitter’s profile design has been updated with some new features and major updates, which is great news for businesses.
The new design, which was first rolled out to a select group of users, is now available for everyone who wants a bolder and cleaner profile. Twitter has also improved its design and added new features such as “pinned posts” and “larger font size,” which are ideal for businesses looking to increase their engagement.
Here are six changes that will help boost your marketing efforts.
1. Larger Cover Image (1500 x 1500 px)
You don’t have to worry if the previous size (520 by 260 pixels), which is behind your profile picture, is too small or looks cluttered. Twitter’s updated header design requires users to upload large photos, which are then resized up to 1500 pixels.
The headers are now similar to Facebook’s and Google+’s cover images. This is a great help for businesses promoting their campaigns or including their contact information at the top of the page.
2. Larger Profile Photos, too. (400 x400 px).
Twitter will upgrade your profile picture automatically. If you want a photo that is crisper, sharper, and better in quality, then Twitter recommends that you crop the image to 400 x 400 pixels.
3. Best Tweets
The bolded and larger font will make it easier to locate tweets that have been retweeted or marked as favourites.
The bold font and large size will draw your current and potential followers to your profile. This tool helps businesses collect and gauge data about what content generates the most interaction, making it easier for them to customize future tweets.
4. Tweets that are pinned
Do you want to ensure that other tweets do not push aside the tweet you send about your campaign or cause? Twitter has heard you, mate!
Twitter now allows users to pin the most important tweets at the top of their profiles! Businesses can now ensure that their followers see what they are currently working on without having to stop tweeting until an event is over.
5. Filtered Tweets
You’ve probably tried to follow a Twitter account to see updates, but you end up scrolling through endless “tweets“ and “replies”. You may have wondered how long it takes for your followers to get your updates without having to read the conversation you had with another customer.
If you asked Twitter today, they would say that it only takes a blink of the eye! This new feature allows Twitter followers to browse profiles and filter them by:
- Tweets only
- Tweets and replies
- Tweets with images and videos
6. Better Bio And Photos Location
Before the change, your username, bio, and name appeared above your cover photo and profile, making them difficult to read.
These details, along with any photos you have uploaded, can be found directly beneath the profile photo on the left side of the screen. This is the ideal place to look when you want to see a brief history of your company and your website.
Twitter is undeniably deserving of all the praise it receives today for its new design. The new design was designed to make the experience of their users, particularly those who manage a business profile, easier and more enjoyable. They have been successful! According to their blog, the new design gives us that “whole new you“ feeling we’ve been looking for!
